Curd Garlic Chutney


This is my favorite chutney.  Curd garlic chutney is my maternal grand-mother’s recipe. My mom makes it all the time. This chutney can be used with various dishes. For example: Pakodas, Parathas, Pudlas, etc.  Garlic has lots of medicinal values. Garlic reduces cholesterol, lowers blood pressure. Also, garlic is an aphrodisiac, antioxidant and antibiotic.  I have tried various different garlic chutney but this is my all time favorite.


10 cloves: Garlic (finely chopped)

1 tsp : Chilli powder

3 tsp : Canola oil

1 cup : Curd (Plain yogurt)

Salt to taste


Heat a pan with 3 tsp of oil, when hot add finely chopped garlic. Saute it till it becomes slightly pink.

Add salt and chilli powder and saute it for approximately 30 seconds.

Add curd and mix it for another 30 seconds and take if off the stove.

Ready to serve.
